Incentives & Rebates

Current solar rebate and incentive programs continue to offer savings to homeowners and businesses alike. Depending on the rebate territory you live in coupled with your tax status you can see a significant savings on system installation.

Federal Tax Credit:

The Investment Tax Credit (ITC) allows you to deduct 30% of the cost of your solar system on your taxes. This credit can be rolled over to future years to ensure that you get the full 30%. For more information got to: http://www.seia.org/cs/solar_policies/solar_investment_tax_credit

The California Solar Initiative (CSI):

The CSI program was launched in 2007 with the goal of reaching 1,940 megawatts of installed solar power by the year 2016. Roughly equivalent to one million residential solar installations, this program is often called the “million solar roofs” initiative. Your exact savings will depend on a number of factors. This rebate decreases in steps as more solar is installed. For a detailed analysis of your potential savings give us a call. You can also find out more about CSI here: www.csi-trigger.com For information on PGE go to http://www.pge.com/solar/. For information on SMUD go to https://www.smud.org/en/residential/environment/.

A number of local jurisdictions across Northern California have also instituted their own solar incentive programs or coordinated with banks to specifically establish low interest loans for residential solar installation. If you want to dig into the details, www.dsireusa.org maintains a complete list of energy related rebate programs.
